Trash Talk - Mental Health Awareness Retreat

I think everyone at some point in their life has faced some kind of trash talk. And we all know that trash talk has some kind of impact on the person being badly mouthed. The truth is that words can cause hurt as much or more then a stone thrown at you. At times, some of us even trash talk ourselves. "I'm a mess", "I am worthless", "I will never amount to anything" and we hurt our own being.

Today I ask you to look at yourself and those around you. Is someone trash talking you? Will you walk away from the negative and search for the positive or will you stay in the same negative, toxic environment? Will you choose to stand up for yourself and let them know directly how bad it hurts and ask them to stop, even report them to authorities if you have to or will you stay beat down, depressed and hurt in a cycle of verbal abuse? Will you love yourself and appreciate every single step you take to better yourself or will you continue to beat yourself down for mistakes that don't make up who you really are?

Trash talk hurts but you have power over how you chose to deal and face it.

You are not alone. Reach out and talk to someone if you are confused on how to handle the situation. Even just venting might help. And always know that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Happy Healing Everyone =]
