Mental Health Awareness Retreat has served the second life community, raising awareness on mental health by running countless of hunts and events as well as exhibition. It has reached thousands of lives world wide, providing people with free resources, educational information, and a community where people know they are not alone.
We are currently working towards expanding our education and awareness to RL.
What started as a simple "there must be others like me out there" has turned into a beautiful community that I am thankful to be a part of.
A special thank you to those who have volunteer one way or another with the community. Designers that participated in hunts & events. Musicians who donated of their time. And members who show support and raise awareness themselves.
My dream is that one day people will come together and celebrate mental health recovery and healing as they do cancer survivors and mourn with those who are suffering just the same. That one day people will support mental health without fear of stigma and people won't have to worry about sharing their illness with others for fear of being put down.
Till that day arrives, Mental health awareness retreat will continue to do its best to raise awareness and fight stigma, while providing resources and information on mental health.
